Week 8

Well, we have made it to week 8 and im glad to see week 8 after the weekend we had :) On thursday all day long i had a bad feeling about the baby so i changed my dr apt from monday to thursday. The dr said it looks like the baby has not been developing and that there is the possability the baby is no longer alive. He called it a blighted ovum or somethig like that. I looked it up and it said it happens when the body feels the baby will not grow to be a functioning healthy baby. So i spent the weekend really learning to come to grips with the idea that my baby is no longer. We went in today and he looked @ the baby and you could see the head and the torso which you couldnt see @ all last week.
so im glad to see that the baby is growing!! He is going to check me again in 2 weeks and see.
Here is what my newsletter says bout week 8.
Congratulations, Danielle! You're Eight Weeks Pregnant. Your embryo is about the size of a grape -- 0.56 to 0.8 inches from crown to rump. Eyelid folds and ears are forming and even the tip of the nose is visible. The arms have grown longer and bend at the elbows. Places where fingers and toes eventually will grow are becoming notched. Your uterus, once the size of your fist, is now about the size of a grapefruit. You may feel some cramping or pain in your lower abdomen or sides as your uterus tightens or contracts throughout pregnancy. These are normal but consult your doctor if cramps are accompanied by vaginal bleeding.
